Betty Feir Ph.D.
Dr. Feir received a Bachelor of Science degree from the University of Texas - Austin, a Master of Science - Rollins College, and a Ph.D. from the University of Oklahoma. Dr. Feir has been practicing in Texarkana since 1978. She completed her clinical internship at the Medical College of Georgia, in the
Department of Psychiatry. Dr. Feir is listed in the National Register of Health Service Providers with Hospital Staff Privileges and is a member of the American Psychological Association. Dr. Feir completed post doctoral studies at the University of South Carolina in Columbia, S. C. She has been a public school teacher, a college professor, and has been in independent practice since 1978.
Dr. Feir has been a consultant to various industries, designing and implementing Employee Assistance Programs, and has been a Medical Expert for Social Security Disability, Office of Hearings and Appeals for over 10 years. She has been an expert witness in various court cases involving personal injury cases and family law cases.
Dr. Feir is licensed as a Specialist in School Psychology in the State of Texas and consults to various school systems. She is a member of the Texas Psychological Association. Dr. Feir holds a Proficiency in the treatment of Psychoactive Substances and Alcohol through the American Board of Professional Psychology.
Dr. Feir is a Rotarian, and a charter member of the Sunrise Rotary Club, and is a Paul Harris Fellow. She serves as a board member of various boards in the community and participates in a number of community organizations.
